The Afghan Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is the Afghan Government Ministry in charge of the management of air and ground transportation, operation of airports and the national airline, as well as numerous other state owned enterprises engaged in the transport business.
The Ministry of Transport and Aviation in Afghanistan said in a conference that it has imported a radar system for three airports and it will be activated soon.
Officials of the ministry said in a press conference that the systems of the airfields were damaged during the withdrawal of the foreign forces, so they should restore them.
They added that Afghan engineers are now able to build and operate aircraft.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation: gulam gelani wafa said, For the first time, Afghan engineers repaired the plane of Ariana company. Previously, this plane was built outside the country for 1.3 million dollars, but the Afghans repaired it in two hundred thousand dollars in a month.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation added, In order to control the airspace and provide good services, we have imported a radar system to three provinces. Radar systems have been installed in Kabul, Herat and Mazar and are being activated.
