Afghanistan has one of the largest populations per capita of persons with disabilities in the world. More than 40 years of war have left more than one million Afghans with amputated limbs and other mobility, visual, or hearing disabilities.
The total number of persons with disabilities registered with the Islamic Emirates is 117,459.
The Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled is establishing diagnosis centers for the disabled in the center and provinces.
In the Department of Disabled and Paralyzed Persons, they are also given vocational training so that they can make machines and other tools.
The Islamic Emirate calls the provision of a special budget and framework for widows and orphans in a very short time a step of development.
Deputy Minister of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs, Abdul Hakim Haqqani said, "'We have registered 117,459 disabled persons in all provinces including Kabul during the previous administration and until now and 16,500 disabled Emirates are registered with us"
He added, There is a diagnosis center for the disabled and paralyzed in Kabul.
