Afghanistan's Ministry of Water and Energy says it has added 100 megawatts of electricity in a year.  Afghanistan imports eighty percent of electricity from abroad.  The Ministry says that it is trying to produce electricity internally.  At present, seven water dams are being worked on.  ministry says that there are some problems and hopes to solve them.
Deputy Minister of Water and Energy Najibur Rahman Omar said 'We now have 20 large water dams to generate electricity.  Seven water dams are in progress and will soon be ready for use.
Head of Energy Department: FarhadMahmoudi said 'The production work of electricity have started again, the biggest achievement in the last year is that we have increased the energy by 100 megawatts, this energy was obtained from the Kajki Dam in Helmand province.
